About the Role

As our USDA Lead, you will oversee all USDA import and export activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal quality standards. You'll lead a team of USDA Coordinators, manage inspections, and act as the primary liaison between USDA officials, customers, and FreezPak leadership to ensure seamless, compliant operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee all USDA import and export inspection activities to ensure full compliance with regulations.
• Supervise and train USDA Coordinators, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
• Serve as the main point of contact for USDA inspectors, customers, and internal operations teams.
• Review and approve health certifications, inspection documentation, and labeling for accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve discrepancies or rejected shipments promptly while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What You Bring to the Pak

• Experience: 3-7 years in USDA coordination, import/export compliance, or cold storage logistics, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in food science, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Certifications: USDA compliance or HACCP certification required; BRC or OSHA certification a plus.
• Skills: Proven leadership and communication skills, strong attention to detail, deep understanding of USDA import/export procedures, ability to multitask effectively, and proficiency in compliance or warehouse management systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

This pay range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the starting hourly compensation for this role at the time of posting. The actual rate will be determined based on a combination of factors including experience, qualifications, work location, and internal pay alignment, in accordance with applicable laws.
