Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large datasets, strong programming skills, and a deep understanding of data architecture. This role is critical to enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is a fully remote position.

Senior Data Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data systems for performance and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the data engineering team.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.
Senior Data Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
