Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct routine and complex clinical lab tests in various areas-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-following established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
- Thoroughly document procedures, train new employees or students, and help maintain high laboratory quality standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Maintain active certification throughout your employment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective teamwork with healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in independent decision-making and problem-solving in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
