You must have a strong grasp of Property Investigation work to succeed in this role.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As an independent field property adjuster, your main responsibilities will involve evaluating and inspecting claims on behalf of ProAdjuster. Specific tasks include:

• Traveling to property sites (homes, businesses, etc.) to assess damages from various incidents such as storms, fires, floods, or vandalism.
• Documenting damage through photos, videos, and detailed notes.
• Interviewing property owners, witnesses, and contractors to gather relevant information.
• Reviewing insurance policies to determine coverage and limits.
• Estimating repair or replacement costs using industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate).
• Assessing liability and determining the cause of loss.
• Preparing comprehensive reports that summarize findings, including the scope of damage and repair estimates.
• Submitting documentation to insurance carriers or third-party administrators for claim processing.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, communications, and claims files.
• Meeting deadlines for report submissions and follow-up.
• Staying compliant with state licensing and continuing education requirements.
• Ensuring thorough documentation of claim files and accuracy of claim codes.
• Building and maintaining positive professional relationships with clients.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

• Residence within 50 miles of Greenville, NC, and possession of an active adjuster's license.
• Minimum of two years of property claims handling in the field.
• At least two years of experience in resolving property damage claims remotely.
• Proficiency in document and spreadsheet processing systems (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Drive) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organization and time management abilities.
• Self-motivated with a track record of productivity in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• A keen attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Valuing client confidentiality and striving to exceed expectations.
• Ability to comprehend and implement verbal and written instructions.

You must hold an active adjuster license for the states in which you are administering claims.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current active adjuster licenses from multiple states.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Two years of active field claim experience.
• Completion of one or more designations: CPCU, AIC, Xactimate.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to climb ladders, walk on roofs, and navigate damaged structures.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions and environments.
