Overview

A leading acute-care provider in the Lake City region is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to support overnight critical care services. This role focuses on clinical decision-making, sterile compounding accuracy, medication optimization, and direct support of high-acuity patient populations. The pharmacist will work independently while partnering with nursing and medical teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, evidence-based medication order verification and dosing adjustments.

  • Oversee sterile compounding activities in accordance with USP guidelines.

  • Respond to clinical consults, provide drug information, and support bedside teams.

  • Monitor and maintain controlled substance processes, including reconciliation.

  • Assist with medication-use evaluations, monographs, and clinical pathway updates.

  • Maintain distribution oversight including storage, automation systems, and workflow efficiency.

  • Promote patient-centered communication and care.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy or PharmD).

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain.

  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and independent decision-making.

  • Hospital experience or residency training strongly preferred.

  • Board certification desirable.
