Senior Consultant, Network Security Solutions

About the Role

Join our team and play a pivotal role in providing technical governance and assurance for intricate solutions across various technical streams, with a focus on network security.

What You Will Contribute

• Collaborate with business leaders to deliver services that align with company objectives, reflecting our values of collaboration and success.
• Design and engineer scalable, effective network systems and solutions.
• Engage in the evaluation, testing, selection, and deployment of foundational network elements for network buildouts.
• Ensure compliance with defined standards and best practices, participating in the development of these benchmarks.
• Create and communicate detailed engineering solutions through comprehensive high- and low-level diagrams.
• Conduct thorough research and troubleshooting of complex issues on a regular basis.
• Flourish in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple projects as both a lead and individual contributor.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing while keeping up with emerging technologies.
• Provide advanced technical expertise for complex projects, including upgrades of critical network devices and services.
• Design, plan, and implement intricate networks that meet diverse client needs.
• Establish system requirements and provide analyses for network specifications, design, and architecture.
• Guide the development of network test, validation, and integration plans, assuring network integrity.
• Act as a subject matter expert during customer engagement and discussions with Solutioning and Sales teams.
• Mentor junior engineers on advanced technology deployments and network best practices.
• Manage time effectively while multitasking across several ongoing projects.
• Assist in drafting Statements of Work (SoW) and Levels of Effort (LoE) documentation.
• Travel as needed for customer and vendor meetings.
• Support Computacenter's mission and core values in all endeavors.

Preferred Background

• Over 10 years of experience in the large enterprise or carrier domain.
• Possession of professional networking certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Public cloud certifications, especially in Advanced Networking or Cloud Network Engineer, are a plus.
• Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, including 802.1x deployments, TACACS+, and advanced migration tasks.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto technology, including Panorama, along with experience in firewall configurations and site-to-site VPNs.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Firewalls (FTD) and ASA, including configurations related to VPN and Firepower Management Consoles.
• Proven project management skills for task delegation, documentation, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model, routing and switching protocols, network security, and operational networking.
• Capable of leading customer-facing discussions with confidence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical technical skills, with a knack for developing and demonstrating solutions.
