Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance financial software solutions.
• Full Lifecycle Engagement: Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Feature Development: Build and integrate new features as part of our dynamic engineering team.
• Domain Expertise: Use your accounting knowledge to identify opportunities for workflow improvements and automation.
• Software Tool Evaluation: Deploy and assess tools and processes to improve project efficiencies.
• Support: Provide guidance on software systems usage across the organization.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to project plans and industry standards.
• Design Applications: Create software applications and features predominantly in Golang.
• Build Reports: Utilize Python and SQL for report and automation development.
• Distributed Architecture: Help establish distributed solutions that maintain consistency and scalability.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with internal stakeholders to devise market-leading products.
• Continuous Improvement: Gather metrics to enhance existing products continuously.
• Deliver Quality: Provide high-quality, testable features that satisfy compliance standards.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers to uplift their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficient in developing and serving REST APIs using languages like Go, Java, and Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Former experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Understanding of financial operations, including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience in banking or financial institutions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and experience with database systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools and methodologies.
• Comfortable with observability platforms for monitoring and alerting.
• Experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes on AWS.
