About The Position

Position:

Locum Tenens - Interventional Cardiologist
Location: Nampa, ID
Profession: Physician
Specialty: Interventional Cardiology
Shift Type: 24-hour Call (7a-7a)

Coverage Dates (24-Hour Call Only - No Clinic):

  • Jan 22, 7a - Jan 28, 7a

  • Feb 18, 7a - Feb 24, 7a

  • Mar 19, 7a - Mar 25, 7a

  • Apr 16, 7a - Apr 21, 7a

Role Details:

  • Inpatient only - Call Coverage

  • Avg. 3 consults/day, 2 procedures/day

  • Trauma Level II

  • 18 ICU beds, 18 tele beds, 10 CMU beds

  • APP Support:

    • Mon-Fri: 1-2 daytime APPs

    • Weekends: 1 APP for 5 hrs/day

  • Required Procedures: Interventional Cardiology, STEMI coverage

  • Preferred: TEE proficiency

  • Important skills: Balloon pumps, coronary stents, IVUS, iFR

  • STEMI volume: historically ~3 activations/week

Travel :

  • Flights

  • Lodging

  • Rental car

  • Mileage

Rate Structure:

  • 24-Hour Call: $3840 rate cap (10 hrs gratis)

  • Malpractice included
MANDATORY Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology AND Internal Medicine or Cardiovascular Disease

  • Active ID License or IMLC (LOQ at name clear)

  • Clean malpractice/background

  • Local candidates preferred (no flights)

  • COVID-19 vaccination required

  • Must be able to cover most/all open dates

Credentialing Documents Needed:

  • CV (with locums history)

  • MD diploma & post-graduate training certificates

  • All medical licenses + DEA

  • Board Certification

  • BLS

  • Malpractice/COI

  • Photo ID + professional headshot

  • CME (past 2 years)

  • Immunizations (TB, Flu, HepB, Tdap, Varicella, COVID)

  • References & case logs
