Our expertise extends beyond simple countertops - we specialize in fabricating and installing custom pieces that transform spaces.
SUMMARY
As an Estimator at Lakeside Surfaces, you'll play a key role in bringing our customers' visions to life. You'll provide accurate, timely estimates and deliver exceptional service to homeowners, designers, and trade partners. This role blends technical precision with customer care - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and helping people make confident design decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare detailed estimates for residential, wholesale, and commercial projects using drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Partner with our sales team to provide cost-effective solutions and design guidance to customers.
- Respond to quote requests via phone, email, or in-person communication.
- Deliver clear, professional follow-up on all quotes and updates.
- Identify opportunities for pricing improvement and competitive advantage.
- Support new product launches and training initiatives.
- Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong math, computer, and time management skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required).
- Proven ability to think critically, stay organized, and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Professional demeanor and reliable attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience interpreting architectural plans and creating cost estimates.
- Experience in the stone fabrication, kitchen, or bath design industries.
