What You'll Do:

  • Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects while managing a talented team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems, creating solutions that meet regulatory demands.
  • Share your enthusiasm for technology by exploring new trends, experimenting with innovative solutions, engaging in tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.
  • Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go; work with both Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases; employ container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes; and leverage a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience (internships do not count)
  • At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • 7+ years of expertise in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services
  • 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks
  • 1+ years of management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodology

The salary range for this position varies by location. For instance, in McLean, VA, the salary ranges from $193,400 to $220,700, while in Richmond, VA, it ranges from $175,800 to $200,700.

This role may include performance-based incentive compensation which can be in the form of cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
