Primary Purpose of Position

The Manager of Operations Training is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the development and implementation of training programs at the Clean Energy Center (CEC) to enhance both CEC and personnel performance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs that improve personnel effectiveness and meet compliance standards.
  • Conducts post-training assessments to measure the impact on performance and identifies areas for improvement within training programs.
  • Supports business initiatives, project management, re-fuel outage, emergency preparedness, and special projects as needed.
  • Anticipates future training needs and devises strategies to address them.
  • Ensures training facilities, materials, and personnel qualifications effectively support program goals.
  • Participates in audits or assessments by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other organizations, providing necessary responses to findings.
  • Coordinates training activities with management, outside agencies, contractors, and the training department.
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed, including emergency response and support of outage activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of overall experience, including 4 years in a power plant, 2 years in a nuclear power plant, and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • OR Associate's degree plus equivalent experience as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014.
  • Active or inactive SRO license or SRO certification is required.
  • Must meet medical examination and access requirement standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience with the implementation of training programs and instructional roles.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional teams to achieve diverse objectives.
  • Experience with INPO Accreditation or Evaluation teams and systematic approaches to training (SAT).
