San Jose, CA, United States Amazon Full time

Description

At Amazon, Principal Engineers are both visionary leaders and hands-on builders. As Amazon's most senior individual contributors, Principal Engineers work on our hardest problems, help establish technical standards and drive the overall technical architecture, engineering practices, and engineering methodologies for products that delight our customers. While many companies this size take their foot-off the gas pedal, at Amazon, it's still Day 1. This startup mentality, does not admit the luxury of a conservative approach.

Amazon offers software engineers the opportunity to make an impact in an unparalleled variety of areas, at a global scale. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies and systems which are on device (high volume consumer devices, satellites, robots and automation technology that power our fulfillment centers), on the cloud (systems that power the Amazon shopping experience or deliver high quality content for Prime Video and Twitch) and everything in between. You can also be part of the team that offers the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud offering at Amazon Web Services.

If you have experience and background in developing large scale distributed systems or are a specialist in any of the following areas, we would love to review your application - AI/ML, autonomous systems, compilers, databases, embedded systems, firmware, mobile - iOS and Android, and networking.

If you want to do work that makes an impact, you belong at Amazon. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative culture that offers more opportunities to take risks, extend your skills, and collaborate to create custom solutions that delight our customers and advance our technology.
