Your Role:

As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you will benefit from comprehensive training and support from expert teams, equipping you to succeed in your role. You will have the flexibility and earning potential necessary to enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance.

• Conduct detailed tax interviews with clients in person and through virtual platforms, including video, phone, chat, and email.
• Prepare accurate and complete tax returns to meet clients' needs.
• Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and promoting available services and products.
• Provide expert support to clients regarding IRS inquiries.
• Collaborate effectively to meet office priorities and foster teamwork.
• Continuously develop your tax expertise and professional skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience in customer service or retail settings.
• Background in a fast-paced, supportive work environment.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during busy periods.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with virtual communication tools such as video, phone, and chat.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education preferred.

Pay Range:

Pay for this position ranges from $16.50 to $27.00 per hour. Individual pay decisions will depend on various factors, including experience, education, skills, performance, and location. Successful candidates may participate in incentive compensation plans.
