Job Summary

The Quality Manager for the Trauma Surgery Program is pivotal in leading and supporting operational initiatives that enhance the quality and effectiveness of trauma care. This role will spearhead projects, engaging with multidisciplinary teams across various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the trauma program’s strategic vision.
  • Manage the Trauma Quality Performance Team and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Design and implement effective systems for monitoring and improving trauma patient care.
  • Oversee data management, ensuring accurate reporting to regulatory agencies and national trauma registries.
  • Develop and implement clinical standards, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement to enhance the outcomes for both patients and staff.
  • Engage in community education and prevention programs alongside the Injury Prevention Coordinator.
  • Collaborate within the healthcare system to refine processes that elevate patient care quality.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Registered Nurse license in Connecticut.
  • BS in Nursing required; advanced certifications in Healthcare Quality preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in areas like trauma care and emergency medicine.
  • Experience leading performance improvement initiatives is essential.
