Your Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, provide necessary diagnostic tests, and create customized care strategies
- Collaboratively or independently diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic conditions (depending on qualifications)
- Offer education to patients and their families on wellness, preventative care, and effective disease management
- Prescribe medications and treatment modalities in accordance with your practice scope
- Engage in patient follow-up and chronic care oversight
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to foster an integrated, patient-centered approach
- Maintain accurate records using electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to attain these within 90 days)
