Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse seeking a fulfilling opportunity in a dynamic environment? Join our Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) where you can make a real difference in the lives of patients battling various neurological challenges. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse II to help create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for patients, families, and colleagues. In our 21-bed unit, you'll care for individuals with conditions such as strokes, brain tumors, seizures, and traumatic brain injuries, alongside patients in our specialized Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. This is a great opportunity for new graduates to start their nursing career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as required by policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in all aspects of patient care management.
- Provide emergency and primary care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and support ancillary personnel while maintaining high nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program conferring a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, preferably in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to implement solutions for enhancing patient care.
