- Work with Tax Management team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support Managers, Sr. Managers and Partners in developing client relationships and to gain understanding of businesses.
- Develop client relationships to become primary client contact on engagements.
- Identify potential accounting and tax issues for Partner & Client discussion.
- Create plans and goals to advise clients.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns and workpapers.
- Communicate timely changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Establish and support best in class practices, procedures, and controls for the Tax Department.
- Manage and develop staff.
- Manage client workflow and ensure deadlines are being met.
- Supervise tax returns and oversight of tax department work product as assigned.
- Special projects
Requirements
• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or MST required
• 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role at a Public Accounting Firm and 7-10 years tax experience.
• Strong planning, project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, online and desktop.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook and Word
