Diagnostic Electrician - Shared Services Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Electrician to join our Shared Services team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and instrumentation systems across our industrial operations. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and safety standards in a dynamic mining environment.

Diagnostic Electrician - Shared Services Responsibilities
  • Remove, repair, and install electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, control systems, and sensors.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on transformers, switchgear, motors, and process control equipment.
  • Analyze electrical systems, identify faults, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Assist and mentor fellow electrical workers, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and operational reporting.
Diagnostic Electrician - Shared Services Position Requirements
  • Completion of an approved electrical, electronics, or instrumentation certification program, or at least four (4) years of relevant industrial electrical and/or instrumentation experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits and systems using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC drives, PLCs, control systems, and low/medium voltage equipment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain necessary tools within 90 days of hire, as specified by departmental standards.
  • Demonstrated safety awareness and the ability to pass required safety assessments and medical exams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including shift work and possible overtime.
