Description

SANITATION AND MAINTENANCE WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is one of the world's leading food manufacturing companies. They have partnered with Remedy to fill a sanitation staff position at their Cedar Rapids facility.

Shift: 1st shift

Pay: $16.50 HR

Job Duties:

  • Cleaning restrooms, break and locker rooms, and office areas
  • Including railings, racks, guard rails, and floors, based on sanitation schedule
  • The role will require someone to work in hot and cold weather, cleaning exterior areas of the building, including but not limited to windows, walkways, emptying trash containers, in addition to the interior tasks
  • This person will also assist Maintenance Techs as required and perform light maintenance duties such as painting.
  • Practices and complies with all company safety rules and procedures
  • Sweeps, wipes, scrubs, vacuums, sanitizes, washes, and picks up as required to keep equipment clean and sanitary to provide an environment to produce food products meeting company, regulatory and customer standards.
  • Ensures that tools and equipment are free of defects; maintains neat and orderly work area, including proper storage
  • Manages chemical supplies in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies and company policy
  • Follow direction from supervisors and manager and company SOP's
  • Work in a safe manner following all SOP's, OSHA and company rules
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • 1-3 Years of experience in production sanitation and maintenance
  • Understands and complies with all policies and programs including state and federal laws
  • Follow established safety practices and performs all tasks in a safe manner while promoting a safe work environment
  • Maintain a great team player attitude
  • Must be passionate about your work and the willingness to learn
