Endpoint Security Engineer Analyst Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN)

RMC provides high-quality, professional services to government and commercial sectors with a mission to deliver exceptional management and technology solutions supporting the protection and preservation of people and the environment of the United States of America. This role supports the maintenance, deployment, and functionality of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network endpoint protection tool globally, ensuring policies, rules, and configurations are functional on Marine Corps endpoints such as desktops, laptops, servers, virtual machines, cloud instances, mobile devices, IoTs, and more.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides 100% on-site support; potential limited telework based on performance and customer needs.
  • Monday?through?Friday schedule with core hours 7:00?am to 5:00?pm.
  • Occasional after?hours support (e.g., surge support for endpoint devices or server patching during non?peak times).
  • Ensures endpoint protection tool is available for devices (laptops, desktops, servers, and mobile devices) and delivers endpoint security protection and detection.
  • Implements and manages endpoint protection tools.
  • Reviews intelligence reports for new detection use cases as directed.
  • Maintains MDE tool patch management and related security fixes.
  • Assists in investigating and remediating security incidents related to MCEN endpoint tools.
  • Follows security?recommended best?practice hardening disciplines.
  • Patch and configuration compliance: updates software to versions free of known security or functionality issues; generates compliance numbers for IAVA, CVE and adheres to STIG requirements.
  • Application whitelisting: controls program execution based on an approved software list.
  • Application containment: blocks or logs unsafe actions according to configured policies or reputational data.
Qualifications
  • Active SECRET (DOD) clearance required to start.
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Five (5) years of practical experience in a Cybersecurity, Cyber Defense, or Engineering related field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CASP, SecX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP). Must be valid/current.
  • DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst certification (CySA+, CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA?Security, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, PenTest+). Must be valid/current.
  • HBSS (Host?Based Security System) implementation experience.
  • MDE (Microsoft Defender Endpoint) implementation experience.

  • Knowledge of fulfilling endpoint security responsibilities using M365 products via AZ?500 and SC?200.

Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract?specific requirements. The current salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
