About the Role

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be a pivotal leader experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), committed to coaching Agile teams toward maturity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Lead and facilitate Agile events, focusing on team dynamics and maturity.
• Drive continuous enhancement within the team, emphasizing Agile principles.
• Shield the team from disruptions and manage escalations effectively.
• Guide the team to consistently adhere to program standards.
• Gather feedback to identify and resolve issues, monitor progress, and keep track of the team’s commitments to their Working Agreement, including Team Rules, Definition of Ready (DoR), and Definition of Done (DoD).
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business System Analyst to refine product backlog items.
• Work closely with the Agile team to understand and document business value through clear, actionable stories.
• Maintain awareness of relationships, dependencies, risks, and impacts across various products and platforms.
• Own the effectiveness of the Agile team and advocate for necessary changes or re-prioritization.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters in Scrum, Kanban, Agile practices, and various other techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Value:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field; relevant experience is also considered.
• Preferred Agile Certification, though hands-on experience is valuable.
• 7-9 years of practical experience in an Agile environment, particularly in a Scrum Master capacity.
• Experience in the systems or financial services sector, including card payments, banking, and product development.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Agile tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar.
• Technical understanding of software development concepts, especially APIs, is a plus.
• Experience managing large-scale technology projects (software/hardware).
• Ability to foster self-organizing and collaborative teams through Agile practices.
• Skilled in facilitating productive Agile ceremonies within time constraints, including Sprint Planning and Retrospectives.
