Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing refractory products, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder Assembler to join their dynamic team. As a Welder Assembler, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting the assembly and quality assurance of refractory components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality standards, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder Assembler

Location: Batavia, OH

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift: Monday through Saturday, with shifts starting at 6am-3pm or 2pm-10pm (schedule may vary)

What's the Job?

  • Follow documented standard operating procedures to assemble refractory products by mortaring and welding (MIG)
  • Inspect refractory parts prior to mortaring and secure them with tac welds
  • Place assembled refractory pieces on drying racks and monitor the drying process
  • Set up and prepare components for welding according to specifications, ensuring weld quality and bead size compliance
  • Palettize, band, document, and label items for shipment, maintaining accurate records
What's Needed?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • 2 to 4 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to operate forklifts and hand/electrical tools safely and efficiently
