We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our team.

Hourly Range: $17.31 - $19.71

The Family Support Worker role works in the family's home to teach them the specific skills they need to safely remain together, such as problem-solving skills, crisis management, parenting skills, communication, budgeting, home maintenance, life skills and more. This role will also be responsible for connecting families to community resources to help stabilize them and increase their support system. As a member of the Family Preservation team, you will work with other team members and report to our Family Preservation Services Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Through a team approach with two Case Managers and 1 Family Support Worker, willsupport a caseload of up to 30families.
  • Provide direct case management services to children and families, including researching community resources for families, participating in case planning, and being a positive role model for families.
  • Meet with families in the home to address safety, well-being and the family/child's input and progress on case plan activities.
  • Coordinate care, referrals, and linkages for families to community resources, as well as assist with transportation, housing, substance use treatment/monitoring, educational needs, health care, and other needs or activities to support success.
  • Attend court hearings for all families that are court-involved as well as to testify in court proceedings as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience working with children and the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other human service field, preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma with at least 2 years' experience.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening .
  • A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
