Duties:
Under the general direction of the Manager of the South Section of the South Surveillance & Facility Performance Branch, the incumbent serves as the Southern California Lead Engineer. Duties include performance of dam safety inspections and analyzing and evaluating surveillance data. The incumbent elevates facility concerns and anomalies to their chain-of-command in a timely manner, prepares annual performance reports, and maintains other required documentation for dams. Incumbent reviews engineering studies, evaluations, inundation mapping, and other dam safety engineering items. Incumbent shall become a Subject Matter Expert of their assigned dams and participate on teams to address dam safety issues. The incumbent shall adhere to State Water Project (SWP) Dam Safety Program (DSP) requirements as they relate to execution of their duties, training, and continuous improvement of the Program.
