Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design and development of innovative software systems aimed at establishing new infrastructure tailored for AI workloads. You will also enhance existing systems. Engage in exploratory and pathfinding projects alongside some of the finest architects within the industry. Your responsibilities include defining high-level technical objectives, designing innovative solutions, setting delivery milestones, and driving the execution of intricate software projects. As the technical lead, you will guide a select team of engineers, collaborating with both immediate and senior leaders to ensure alignment with long-term organizational goals.

Responsibilities

This position demands deep technical expertise in distributed systems, a proactive attitude, and the ability to excel in dynamic and ambiguous environments where you’ll bring clarity and direction to new initiatives.

You will also play a crucial role in mentoring engineers across all levels, nurturing a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning. Your expertise and leadership will significantly shape the team’s practices around software craftsmanship, service ownership, and cloud-native design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in greenfield or large-scale systems design.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform services.
  • Proficient in developing software solutions for large enterprises or cloud provider environments.
  • Experience in software architecture and design, notably in distributed systems and cloud-native contexts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, or similar.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP) and technologies (e.g., VPN, DNS, DHCP, MPLS).
  • Strong understanding of network security and best practices in software development.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration, particularly in networking scenarios.
  • Proven track record as a leading individual contributor and team member, providing guidance and mentoring to peers.
  • Excellent judgment in influencing product roadmap direction, features, and priorities.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
