Facilities Operations Manager

The Facilities Operations Manager will play a vital role in our organization by inspecting each shop annually and managing the vendors responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operational performance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in overseeing facility operations, managing staff, asset movements, and janitorial duties while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Oversee daily facility maintenance and repairs, ensuring vendor performance across assigned locations.
• Respond promptly to issues that could impact production, safety, or sales.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
• Develop, manage, and forecast facility operation budgets, including repairs, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Review vendor quotes for accuracy and appropriateness of scope.
• Source and oversee service providers and contractors for maintenance and repair needs.
• Collaborate with Procurement to align contracts and standardize vendor performance.
• Support small capital projects, remodels, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Work with Operations leadership to prioritize critical repairs.
• Track maintenance spending, trends, and performance metrics.
• Prepare reports for leadership that highlight key findings, spend drivers, and efficiency opportunities.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5-7 years of progressive facilities management experience, preferably in restaurant, retail, or food manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success in managing budgets, vendors, and service operations across a large area.
• Ability to read and understand complex MEP and CD draw sets.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Financial acumen and an understanding of maintenance cost structures.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Service Channel (or similar CMMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 50-60% within the assigned region.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Availability to respond to urgent facility issues outside of standard business hours.
