Senior Engineer - Software

LER TechForce is seeking a Senior Engineer - Software to work onsite at our client in Bowling Green, KY (this is a direct hire position).

  • Design, implement, and maintain application features with clean, testable code for mobile and PC applications.
  • Contribute to architecture and UX decisions to ensure user-friendly functionality.
  • Build robust communication layers (USB, Serial, CAN, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and real-time data streaming, logging, and visualization.
  • Drive quality through unit and integration tests, code reviews, CI, and release documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, Embedded Software, Systems, and Validation.
  • Support issue triage and resolution for customer, field, quality, and warranty concerns.
  • Conduct regression and verification testing to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Participate in Agile development practices including planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
  • Develop software in C#, Apple, and Android native environments.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • B.S. in Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience building production desktop or mobile applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, and native Apple and Android development.
  • Experience integrating application software with hardware or embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong debugging and testing skills.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engine fundamentals and engine management systems.
  • Passion for electronics and automotive products.
  • Familiarity with tuning/configuration tools, visual data logging, or performance instrumentation.
