Summary

The Manager - W&D Logistics is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound activities, inventory accuracy, distribution, and regulatory compliance related to bonded cargo and controlled storage areas. This role ensures the warehouse functions efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and applicable customs and security regulations. The manager works closely with international logistics teams across multiple transportation modes to support seamless supply chain operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound cargo handling, inventory accuracy, secure storage, and distribution processes
    • Coordinate closely with international and domestic logistics teams to align warehouse activities with transportation schedules, carrier cutoffs, and documentation requirements
    • Supervisor trans-loading, container devanning, consolidation, and cargo staging processes to support timely and accurate cargo flow
    • Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel to ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational excellence
    • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to safety, cargo security, warehouse workflows, and regulatory compliance
    • Monitor warehouse productivity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to meet service-level agreements and reduce costs
    • Prepare for and support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and readiness
  • Support the accounting team with accounts receivable and payable (AR/AP) related to warehouse operations, including invoice reconciliation and payment follow-up
    • Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely processing of transactions
    • Support maintenance of warehouse documentation, including shipment records, inventory logs, and compliance filings
    • Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and 3PL providers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of cargo
    • Participate in logistics planning and provide operational input for infrastructure development or new customer on-boarding
    • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements related to warehouse performance, compliance, and cost efficiency
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to warehouse operations and compliance
    • Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range

$94,000 - $105,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software Required
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Required
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and training Preferred
  • Knowledge of bonded cargo management, customs regulations including C-TPAT program, TSA security requirements, and relevant compliance standards specific to warehouse operations Preferred
  • Familiarity with financial processes, especially AR/AP, related to warehouse or logistics operations Preferred
  • Proven experience managing warehouse operations in an international freight forwarding or logistics environment Preferred
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Experience in Logistics or Warehousing Required
  • 8 - 13 Years of Experience in Logistics or Warehousing Preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Possibility of domestic travel - 30%
  • Stand/walk
  • Carry/lift up to 15 pounds
