QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Automation Framework Development:
Develop, enhance, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

Design reusable, scalable scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of banking and finance applications.
  • Test Planning & Execution:
Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.

Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects, ensuring high test coverage.
  • Test Data Management & Environments:
Prepare and manage test data pertinent to banking transactions, customer data, and financial workflows.

Setup and maintain testing environments aligned with production-like settings.
  • Regression & Continuous Testing:
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles.

Execute & monitor automated suites within Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Defect Tracking & Collaboration:
Log, track, and communicate defects clearly using bug tracking tools like JIRA.

Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to resolve issues and improve test coverage.
  • Documentation & Best Practices:
Document test scripts, strategies, and automation standards.

Continuously improve automation practices, tools, and frameworks.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in QA automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Extensive experience in testing financial, banking, or other regulated financial applications.
  • Strong understanding of banking workflows, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of test management and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with database validation and SQL queries for backend testing.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Basic understanding of security testing principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications/Experience:
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
  • GenAI project experience is a plus.
