Medix has partnered with a leading outpatient orthopedic center to find a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13 week travel assignment starting in early February. In this role, you will work as a key clinician within a fast-paced outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging for a diverse patient population. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; No nights or weekends

State License Needed: ARRT (R)

Pay: $2,320 - $2,720/week including a highly competitive personalized compensation package.

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing routine X-ray examinations while ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy. This role involves comprehensive patient preparation, strict adherence to radiation safety protocols, and administrative support to ensure seamless clinical operations.

• Clinical Imaging: Perform routine X-ray examinations, selecting optimal exposure factors and operating processing equipment to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Patient Safety & Care: Prepare patients for procedures and verify order accuracy; strictly adhere to ALARA radiation safety protocols, including mandatory pregnancy screening.
• Quality Assurance: Review all images for technical quality and submit them to providers for interpretation within established timeframes.
• Administrative Support: Manage medical records via EMR systems, handle electronic faxes, and process patient CD requests during clinical downtime.

• Education: Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology course.
• Certification: Active ARRT registration in Diagnostic Radiology (R).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience working with a diversity of patients within an orthopedic specialty is a plus.
