Travel Ophthalmic Technician – Bethpage, NY

Start Date: 12/22
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour Days
Shift Times: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call: None
Care Setting: Outpatient Ophthalmology

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to support a busy ophthalmology clinic in Bethpage, NY. Majority of patient population is adult, with pediatric patients seen approximately 3 times per month.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician

  • Required Certifications: None

  • Preferred Certifications:

  • COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant)

  • COT (Certified Ophthalmic Technician)

Equipment & Skills

Technician will work with:

  • Heidelberg OCT

  • Topcon Fundus camera

  • Zeiss IOL Master

  • Zeiss Visual Field machine

  • Zeiss Corneal Topography

  • Topcon Autorefractors

  • Haag Streit Slit-Lamp Camera

Must be proficient with standard ophthalmic testing, imaging, and rooming functions.
