Your Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Commercial Finance Operations to be an essential business partner to our commercial team. In this role, you will ensure that our sales strategies are financially viable and that we achieve our revenue targets profitably. You will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive, data-driven framework that empowers the organization to make informed decisions and drive profitable growth. This position reports to the Senior Director of Costing & Project Reporting.
Our Team
The Commercial team within the Finance function plays a critical role in financial reporting, business forecasting, M&A modeling, and supporting various ad-hoc projects while preparing Management Review Packages and investor relations support.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to maintain the system cost model for accuracy, essential for pricing customer projects.
Develop and oversee revenue budgets, forecasts, and financial models tailored to support sales initiatives.
Create financial models that project future revenue through multi-scenario analysis, providing a realistic outlook.
Manage budget planning, continuously updating and ensuring the financial plan remains accurate and relevant.
Act as a key financial advisor to the sales leadership team, providing strategic insights on pricing and new opportunities.
Generate and present regular financial reports on sales performance, highlighting critical trends, risks, and opportunities.
Lead initiatives that enhance financial processes, improve data accuracy, and increase reporting efficiency within the sales organization.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of finance professionals dedicated to supporting the sales function.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 12 years of financial analysis experience, with prior experience as a people manager.
Strong ownership mindset, driving excellent results.
Exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
Proficiency in financial modeling using Excel.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with the capability of being an effective business partner.
Able to adapt to a dynamic business setting, demonstrating rapid learning and prioritization skills.
Extensive quantitative and technical skills, backed by solid experience in analysis and modeling.
Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule, spending a minimum of 3 days per week in our Wilmington, MA office.
Work Environment
Up to 10% travel may be required. A valid driver's license is necessary for potential client and customer visits.
Employees are responsible for managing their own credit card expenses for reimbursement on a bi-weekly basis.

The salary range for this position is $186,000.00 - $255,200.00, with actual compensation depending on knowledge, skills, and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO, and more.
