ABOUT THIS ROLE

Position Overview

At our organization, we're transforming how businesses leverage data to drive strategic decisions. Our Data Warehouse team is at the heart of this mission, building and maintaining the scalable infrastructure that powers our analytics capabilities. As a Data Engineer on our team, you will design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines that transform raw financial data into valuable business insights. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions that support our growing data needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while solving complex data challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for our enterprise data warehouse
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of data
  • Optimize existing data workflows for improved performance and efficiency
  • Build and maintain data models that support analytics and reporting needs
  • Document data architecture, processes, and workflows
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering
  • Support data warehouse operations across development, testing, and production environments
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our data stack
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, dbt)
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with stream processing technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Familiarity with financial data and systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements in financial services
