Our expected salary range for this role is $156,600 to $174,000, contingent on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package, including bonuses and a 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

This position involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations while serving as a resource and expert for engineers. You will be responsible for making critical technical decisions and will possess a strong understanding of your functional discipline, its practical applications, and in-depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Provide comprehensive technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
• Act as a subject matter expert by providing technical insights and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
• Oversee engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for both short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations.
• Execute engineering and technical tasks assigned by supervision while applying general engineering principles.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management, and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
• Propose equipment, concepts, and techniques that enhance performance, simplify construction, lower costs, rectify design or material flaws, or adapt to code or regulatory changes.
• Fulfill additional job assignments per company policy or as directed by management, including emergency response duties, department duty coverage, and roles outside the department to assist with outage activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related field, OR Licensed Professional Engineer, OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, which must include 1 year of nuclear power plant experience.
• Must meet the minimum access requirements for unescorted access, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing as deemed applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or experience is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory or managerial experience is a plus.
• Professional Engineer Registration and/or advanced technical degree or related coursework is desirable.
