Electrophysiology and Catheterization Imaging Technologist

Assignment Duration
This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8-hour days between 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. On-call evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description
The Electrophysiology and Catheterization Imaging Technologist performs imaging procedures with a high level of technical skill, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. They ensure patient safety and proper documentation while maintaining imaging standards.

Responsibilities
• Perform imaging procedures at a technical level without constant supervision.
• Demonstrate proper positioning and radiographic techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Ensure radiation safety and document patient exposure.
• Support aseptic techniques and patient safety during procedures.
• Function in the first assist position and administer contrast as directed.
• Maintain quality control and point of care testing standards for devices.
• Communicate instructions clearly to patients and assess their understanding.
• Utilize proper patient identification protocols and document history accurately.
• Ensure imaging files are properly coded and tracked through the PACS system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required.
• ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certifications.
• Compliance with Act 34 clearance requirements.
