JOB SUMMARY

This crucial finance role is focused on overseeing the daily operations of inventory control functions in our food manufacturing and distribution processes. The Inventory Management Supervisor will conduct comprehensive cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, coordinate special inventory processing, and perform a variety of related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage inventory control, driver check-in, and quality assurance operations while directing team efforts to identify and resolve variances, ensuring an accurate perpetual inventory count and safeguarding company assets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures that ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy while minimizing shrinkage and loss.
  • Oversee the driver check-in process, ensuring that all dues are collected accurately and deposited on time, and managing all obligations and adjustments promptly.
  • Regularly review inventory reports to identify errors and communicate findings to Finance, Operations, and Merchandise departments.
  • Lead shrink meetings to identify root causes of shrinkage and develop actionable solutions.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of inventory associates, fostering skill development and a culture of accountability.
  • Supervise performance management and professional growth of inventory team members.
  • Manage the process for product recalls ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proper training and licensing in powered industrial equipment operations is required.
  • HACCP Certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of experience in inventory control management within the food manufacturing or distribution industry.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in PC applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
  • Capable of drafting routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present before groups of customers or staff.
  • Exemplary listening abilities to foster effective two-way communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes.
