Job Description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Identity is looking for a software development senior manager with cloud experience to join our development team. As a Senior Manager of Development you will own and manage a team of software engineers and software development managers responsible for software architecture and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should become comfortable with low level operating systems development, be able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and higher level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

This role will drive major aspects of our product definition, contribute to the product strategy of our solutions, and contribute to the development of next generation Identity capabilities for Oracle Cloud Infrastucture.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient at programming in Java, Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior development experience with Identity services in Cloud or experience with IAM

• Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
