Description - Your Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and advanced laboratory tests in various fields such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology with adherence to established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and undertake preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in specimen collection and efficiently prepare samples for testing when necessary.
- Thoroughly document all procedures, provide training to new colleagues or students, and ensure adherence to quality standards within the lab.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory space, complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification in allied health is required, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Attain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
- Maintain active certification throughout your tenure.
