Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Forklift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Material Handler Forklift operator with experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment. The role involves using sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes to deliver materials to machine operators, welders, and assemblers. Responsibilities Pull and move materials to and from workstations to support production, primarily in the small parts welding area. Unload trucks using an overhead crane and stage materials in the warehouse. Follow work orders and production schedules to ensure each department has sufficient materials for efficient operation. Transport finished products from the Small Parts area to the next stage in the production process or store them in the warehouse. Essential Skills Experience in material handling and working in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with packaging, lifting boxes, and packing orders. Experience with general production tasks, picking, loading, and using an RF scanner. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in shipping and receiving. Skill in using pallet jacks and forklift operating. Work Environment This is a direct hire position for a Material Handler on the 1st shift, with hours from 6am to 2:30pm. Flexibility in overtime is available, with potential hours from 5am to 3:30pm, and optional Saturday work during busy seasons from 6:00am to 11:00am. The work is conducted in an industrial environment, specifically in the 'Big Fit' welding area. The facility is involved in manufacturing large vibratory equipment and conveyors for industries such as mining, construction, and oil and gas, with a team of over 50 staff members including warehouse personnel, heavy assemblers, machine operators, welders, and paint specialists. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.
