Description

Join Leidos as a Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Expert and play a pivotal role in supporting our esteemed customer on-site in Northern Virginia. This position is integral to a talented team of Subject Matter Experts delivering strategic insight in launch vehicles, missile systems, satellite technology, and C4ISR.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of aerospace systems, including aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, and missiles. Your deep technical knowledge will not only be crucial in advising and mentoring but also in engaging with senior government stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Showcase expertise in aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling, especially in ballistic missile production.
  • Work collaboratively in teams, while also thriving in independent settings with minimal oversight.
  • Offer informed advice and support to government clients regarding materials, equipment, and infrastructure related to ballistic missile proliferation and production.
  • Deliver specialized training and courses focused on Missile Materials and Machine Tools.
  • Leverage hands-on experience with manufacturing methods, tooling, procedures, and testing for missiles and rocket engines.
  • Empower junior colleagues through mentorship, aiding their technical and professional development.
  • Be prepared to travel as necessary; a valid U.S. passport is a must.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, or related field with over 15 years of aerospace manufacturing experience (or over 13 years with a Master’s degree).
  • Possess a secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in engineering, physics, or a similar technical discipline.
  • 15-20 years of direct experience in aerospace or missile manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of foreign ballistic missile systems.
  • Experience with U.S. military aerospace systems.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $134,550.00 - $243,225.00, influenced by various factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, and market data.
