Job Description

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team to research and develop projects associated with the design and development of new products, models, or mechanisms and to investigate and resolve technical problems involving product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex aircraft components and systems to fulfill requirements from the conception through preparation of sales drawings, details, and parts lists, continuing through quality testing and production.
  • Prepare complete technical proposals, design layout drawings and perform product designs.
  • Develop and perform design validation and qualification tests per specifications.
  • Discuss and consult with sales staff or customers on product requirements and specifications where design or manufacturing problems are involved.
  • Coordinate the creation, development, design, and improvement of company products in conformance with established programs and objectives.
  • Provide engineering advice and assistance to other departments as required.
  • Must be able to work at an ITAR facility.
Job Requirements

Experience/Education:

Minimum of two years design experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical aircraft components and systems.

Skills/Aptitudes:

Proficiency in SolidWorks, good project management skills, ability to interface effectively with customers and with individuals at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment
  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs).
  • Office environment with moderate noise; factory floor located in the same building with some exposure to noise and fumes.
  • Occasional travel to customers or suppliers.
  • Heavy computer-based work.


$45-$50/hour DOE
