We invite you to become a vital part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company dedicated to providing essential healthcare assessments for those who have served. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your skills in a meaningful way, working on a PRN basis across Kentucky with the flexibility to choose your days and shifts.

In this role, you will conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily interview-based with some physical evaluation. Your work will help ensure our Veterans receive the care and recognition they deserve, all while working in your own office within the designated geographic area.

Required Skills:

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kentucky
• Experience in general medicine or familiarity with Compensation & Pension exams
• Strong interview and assessment skills
• Ability to perform physical evaluations such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• Prior experience with government or Veterans' healthcare assessments
• Familiarity with medical documentation and report writing

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Prior experience conducting compensation and pension exams is advantageous but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Own a dedicated office space within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
• Ability to work flexible hours, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts
• Willingness to complete required credentialing, onboarding, and administrative follow-up
• No travel reimbursement outside of your professional rate
• Valid certifications and licensure in Kentucky

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with flat rates of $600 for half-day shifts and $1200 for full-day shifts, paid weekly via direct deposit. You will also be eligible for a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing all initial training and performing your first exams.
