Flagship Cruises & Events is looking for Servers with a positive attitude and a team player who must be able to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Successful candidates will possess the ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment and assist with vessel preparations. Performance will be measured by management evaluation, and peer feedback. High performers will be selected to learn new skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with the operations team and back-of-house team
- Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Set up and break down of dining room
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area including bussing
- Collect money, accurately provide change and input into POS
- Serve guests and fill server orders quickly and courteously
- Check IDs in accordance with beverage guidelines
- Exercise good judgment, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations
- Additional duties may be assigned
- A flexible schedule is required
- Hospitality experience is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol screenings
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalence Certificate preferred
- Background in restaurants, banquets, or special events serving preferred
- Available on all major holidays
- May be required to apply for a Transportation Workers Identification Card
- California Food Handlers certification is preferred but not required
- Must be able to lift/pull/push 50lbs
- Ability to bend, rotate and reach frequently
- Ascending/descending stairs or ladders safely
- Ability to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel
- Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with job
