As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Data Lake storage system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and evolving a Data Lake storage system for efficient bulk data ingestion and quick queries
  • Establishing strong metadata, data governance, security measures, and accessibility protocols
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams and architects to drive project development and design
  • Leading the evaluation, development, and rollout of innovative data collection and storage solutions
  • Enhancing the scalability of data ingestion and storage components to meet growing usage demands
  • Conducting code reviews, performance analysis, and tuning for optimal results
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development
  • Developing unit, functional, and performance tests to ensure product quality
  • Working cross-functionally with QA, Product Owners, Engineering Services, and Tech Ops for seamless project execution
