Role Description

The Software Architect General will design, document, and develop software architecture for large or mid?size projects. The architect will lead cross?company technology evaluations, provide architectural guidance, and mentor development teams.

Responsibilities
  • Independently design, document, and develop high?level software architecture.
  • Design, code, configure, integrate, and test architecture interfaces.
  • Perform software build, test, and deployment activities.
  • Refine and enhance software/system architecture and framework.
  • Lead design reviews, technical and architectural audits of complex projects.
  • Lead cross?company or project?level technology evaluations driving decisions on buy, build, partner, or open source.
  • Create sales proposals and assist pre?sales or account teams with project size estimation and solution design.
  • Develop best practices around technology areas of interest.
  • Define technical processes around SDLC for configuration management, build and integration, and release management.
  • Lead development teams through guidance, mentorship, and influence.
  • Identify team competencies and define training plans for project teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Software Architect General or related occupation.
  • In lieu of a bachelors degree, employer will accept a foreign degree equivalent based on a combination of three years of college/university education and three years of experience.
  • Must be able to relocate to any U.S. work site and travel as needed.
  • Must be able to execute projects on different languages, databases, and software skill sets.
  • Must be able to telecommute from any U.S. location.

Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 (Unanticipated work sites throughout the U.S.)

Compensation Range

$176,134 $180,000 per year; 40 hours per week; 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.

Full?time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave each year, 10 paid holidays, and eligibility for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
