Ambulatory Mammography Rad Tech

A highly accredited, 5-star-rated hospital in Southern New York State is seeking a radiologic technologist to join its top-tier, dedicated team as the new Ambulatory Mammography Rad Tech .
The Ambulatory Mammography Rad Tech will join an approximately 300-bed, not-for-profit community teaching hospital that is Joint Commission-accredited and Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence. Advanced imaging services, including ACR-accredited modalities, support consistent practice standards and reliable workflows in a well-organized setting .
The Ambulatory Mammography Rad Tech reports to the radiologic technologist manager, with responsibilities that include performing routine and special imaging; preparing and positioning patients; assisting radiologists; operating and maintaining equipment; following radiation safety and practice standards; ensuring image quality; performing quality assurance and calibrations; reporting malfunctions; managing supplies; educating patients and providing age-appropriate care; processing images and CDs; communicating results; attending department meetings; and maintaining continuing education requirements. Candidates who advance quickly to interviews hold an NYS DOH license and ARRT (RT) certification. Advanced mammography certification is preferred, and passing the advanced mammography exam within one year of hire is required.
