Position Overview:
The Field Compliance Manager will play a key role in supporting the Director of Field Compliance and Investigations while implementing all aspects of Lundbeck's US Compliance Program, based on the seven elements of an effective compliance program. You will collaborate closely with critical stakeholders and business lines, focusing on establishing a strategic compliance partnership with field teams, including sales and medical science liaisons and supporting internal compliance investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the US Psychiatry field teams. Provide proactive compliance guidance and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization, ensuring effective communication channels.
- Policies and Training: Oversee training and awareness initiatives aligned with company policies, including the Code of Conduct. Aid in developing and updating field directives and resources.
- Education and Training Implementation: Support the execution of compliance training programs, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communicating standards to field teams.
- Compliance Risk Management: Identify and implement strategic projects aimed at mitigating compliance risks within field operations, addressing promotional compliance and medical science liaison concerns.
- Internal Investigations: Conduct and support internal investigations on compliance violations, ensuring adherence to legal standards and risk management protocols.
- Risk Assessment: Assist with ongoing risk assessments and developing targeted risk mitigation plans for field compliance initiatives.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Design and execute auditing initiatives to validate compliance during speaker programs, advisory boards, and related activities.
- Vendor Management: Partner with the Director to manage vendor relationships, budget tracking, contract execution, and invoice processing.
- Other Guidance: Provide day-to-day compliance guidance and support organizational initiatives, while remaining informed on relevant laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of compliance experience within the healthcare sector (pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar fields).
- Solid understanding of FDA regulations, PhRMA Code, and key compliance laws.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with web conferencing tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will be based in Deerfield, IL.
- Experience in compliance within life sciences or biotech industries.
- Understanding of document management systems.
- Experience in conducting compliance investigations.
- Data collection and analysis experience.
- Project management experience and advanced Excel skills.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically; international travel might also be required.
- If remote, travel to Deerfield, IL will be needed for certain business needs.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $135,000 with eligibility for a 10% bonus. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), comprehensive health coverage, and a company-matched 401k. For additional information on benefits, please refer to our career site.
