Investor Advice Solutions comprises Schwab Wealth Advisory, Centralized Service & Operations, and the Wealth Strategies Consulting Group. Schwab Wealth Advisory is a leading fee-based, non-discretionary investment advisory service that provides clients with personalized relationships, expert guidance, and continuous support based on Schwab's investing philosophy. The Centralized Service & Operations team supports Fixed Income and Schwab Wealth Advisory clients through client-facing phone support, while the Wealth Strategies Consulting Group addresses complex wealth management needs through dedicated Planning and Wealth Strategy teams. They offer specialized products designed to meet income generation, risk management, and liquidity needs.

The Tax and Estate Management Specialist role is part of a dedicated team that delivers significant value to Schwab's advisory clients. This position enhances Schwab Wealth Advisory's services by addressing clients' intricate needs regarding Tax, Trust, and Estate matters, leading to potential savings for clients. You will provide comprehensive and sophisticated advice to entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals with complex financial situations, substantial business holdings, large family estates, and diverse investment portfolios that demand meticulous attention.

The Wealth Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert on all aspects of a client’s Tax, Trust, and Estate requirements.

What you have

As a Tax and Estate Management Specialist, you will:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Financial Consultants and Wealth Advisors.
• Act as an internal expert on intricate trust, estate, and income tax queries and issues.
• Identify unexpressed needs from clients to recommend additional Schwab services when appropriate.
• Deliver presentations to various audiences to share your expertise and promote services to key partners.
• Provide education to internal teams about your skills and how you can support their clients, driving referrals.
• Leverage your prior experience in Tax, Trust, and Estate matters to contribute to the growth of Investment Advisor Services.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active FINRA Series 65 license or equivalent required (may be obtained within a 120-day condition of employment).
• 5-10 years of client-facing experience.
• One of the following is preferred: JD, LLM, CPA, CTFA, AEP.
• Previous experience as a Tax, Trust, and Estate attorney is highly preferable.
• Extensive experience advising high-net-worth clients.
• Proven ability to uncover unexpressed needs through thorough diagnosis.
• Exceptional presentation skills and a track record of success in a collaborative atmosphere.
• Strong verbal and written communication, listening, interpersonal, client service, networking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with high-net-worth clients.
• Capacity to foster strong relationships internally by collaborating closely with Branch Financial Consultants and Wealth Advisors within Schwab Wealth Advisory.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% to 25%.
