About the Role
Our charter school client is seeking a passionate School Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, and academic success in a Montessori-inspired, environmentally focused school setting. This is a full-time, onsite position in Norton Shores, MI.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs
- Provide individual and group counseling
- Develop and implement student support strategies
- Participate in IEP and child study team meetings
- Refer students/families to community services and follow up
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Promote student conflict resolution and emotional regulation
- Provide staff training and consult on student behavior
- Uphold NASW Code of Ethics and school policies
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Michigan SSW certification (310) or temporary approval
- School-based experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfort working in outdoor/nature-based education settings is a plus
