Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and formulate personalized therapy strategies to help achieve functional goals.
- Implement Treatment Techniques: Employ evidence-based practices to enhance patients' physical skills, cognitive abilities, and capabilities in daily activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work in concert with OTs, PTs, SLPs, physicians, and nurses to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Patient and Caregiver Education: Instruct patients and their families on therapy techniques for sustained progress in everyday life.
- Documentation and Outcome Monitoring: Keep track of patient progress and modify treatment approaches to keep them on track.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Encouragement and support for ongoing education or post-graduate certification.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is necessary.
- A genuine desire to uplift others and help them achieve their fullest independence.
- Effective, compassionate communication with patients and team members alike.
